"While I'm in there" question

Hey friends,

I have a coolant leak coming from the middle of the V on my 6th gen, so I was planning on removing the throttle bodies and replacing the coolant hoses with silicone. With the TB's off, is there anything else I should replace while I'm in there?

All of the o-rings under any coolant spigot and on
the thermostat housing.



Also a good time to have your injectors pro cleaned with a flow report.

 

In addition to the O-rings, best put a new thermostat in while you're in that deep.

 

And check / clean any electrical connectors in or around that area. Also give the vee area a good wipe or clean to tidy it up a bit.... while you're there.

 

And get the correct hose clamps for the silicone hoses.
