I just sold off 2 bikes this year and here I am looking for more.

I always wondered if it's just a simple carb issue, then why doesn't the owner just send them off to be cleaned and ask for way more on price?

They got new side panels though...

Some people can't even remove carbs without f-ing something up. Some people just want to be rid of something. I'm sure it got parked after the crash with good intentions, looked and found cowls... and then life happened.

It will be better this way for someone else. At least it will still be complete and not missing hard to find parts.

I bought my non running 93 for 500 green backs, rougher condition than that one, but I am just saying for a non runner 2000 might be a little high. I need a red one anyway to finish my Gen3 collection.

"-bike fell over on a hill and slid 30 feet -"

Makes it sound like it fell on it's own, but I think it takes a bit more energy than a hill and gravity would supply to do that amount of damage. What say you?

It does look like a fair deal though. I might have been tempted to at least contact the seller to take a look if it was close by. I really like the left side exhaust showing off the single side swing arm!

I'm guessing they had a lowside and let it sit for a while.

If I had a trailer capable vehicle I would probably be on my way to pick up

We just did that drive 5 months ago to Ocean City. No biggie. Gotta jump on these while I can. Before it gets trashed by someone else
But to go and have the bike either sold out from under me or having undisclosed deal breaking damage are real concerns.

Almost need a third party who is close go see it in person

Send a nice message expressing your genuine interest, background regarding love of these bikes. Request some more pictures and any more back story he can provide.

That has worked for me in the past where timing and/or distances were an issue.

His response could be a good indication of what kind of dude he is. Like if he would sell it while you're on the way, or one of these first come first served douches.

Ocean City NJ? Left that state 25 years ago. 18 hours is a toughie, I have a 4x8 utility trailer with a hitch set up on my Jeep, if it was in my state I would take a day off and drive max 5-6 hours for it. Again, I want a red one. Thats the 93 I paid $500 for - 15,000 miles. I have the original bill of sale which is pretty cool. 180.jpg

    Ocean City MD.

And yeah Id have to set up a hitch on my van, set up a trailer rental, book 2 hotels cause I'm Not driving all night. Gas, food, etc might as well have a shipper bring it to my door

Or meet me halfway then I can ask for a family member favor with a truck.

Most likely I'll have to let it pass
