Latest acquisition....original owner 1983 VF750F - Euro version

Had a visit earlier from the Civil Process guy, who filled out the verification forms for me and notarized them. Nice guy but on his way out he locked his keys in his trunk! Took until just now for him to get things sorted out. Tow truck came and they coat hangered the passenger side door open. Then he had to removed the rear seat partition to get into the trunk. I held a flashlight for him .

Now just waiting to for documents from the seller which are coming via snail mail and then I'll go back to the tag office. I have another bike I'm doing the same thing for.....

 

Happy Friday, everyone!

Going to start work on this baby starting tomorrow. Don't know exactly what I'm in for yet. Hopefully just the basic stuff. Overall she's actually in very good condition!

I will start with complete brake and clutch systems service, complete fuel system service, and the stuff you do when an engine hasn't been run in a while.

Feels good to finally have her up on the lift!

Thank you, my brother! She's not without some scuffs and scrapes but I like anything vintage to have a few battle scars...and of course patina is mandatory!

 

It's better to have the scrapes and scuffs already out of the way and done by someone else
