Could be. So little description - but there are those who post classifieds and for whatever reason - that's how they roll.

Others that are scams kinda overdo it in the description.

Photos - same thing. Some scams have too little photos (one in many cases). Here we have heaps of photos.

    ========

What I usually do is do a "Google Lens" with one of the photos and see if it turns up somewhere else. I did that with Photo 1 in this ad and didn't get any hits. So I dunno.....

    Could be legit.

Honda is mis-spelled, so that could explain it not being found by many.

And if it has been found, mileage is not low and it has been wrecked and repainted.

Too many pictures, not enough text for a traditional scam. They almost always have to describe how it drives smoothly with good power, all lights operate normally. And usually have a couple emojis in there too.

I also did a Tempest Search nationwide Craigslist search... it is the only ad. Scam ads are almost always put in multiple regions.

Plus it was put in the Motorcycle PARTS category.......

I also noticed the misspelled Honda.

I sent the seller an inquiry.....

owner has got to be unusually stupid-even more than most americans- to ask a price that low. :eek:its perfectly cleean and looks great so he has no reason to sell a top condition bike at a low-end price. im pretty sure 95% of us reading this would find the cash to do a deal on that bike to put it in our garage.......... if were just 5 miles away.

he did no market research its clear, and i think its a scam. TGTBT

I have to agree, Squirrelman. There was a similar ad in my area last year. I emailed the owner and got a sob story about her husband being killed in a collision , the bike is out of state, I promise if you send the two grand I will have it shipped to you...... Yup.....SCAM!!

Well, there's a simple way to find out. Act as dumb as they think you are and see if you get the dead husband sob story, telling you to look for the email from eBay shipping to be paid in Best Buy cards.

Usually always get a response from scammers with this approach...

"om my god! been looking for this bike just like my uncles for a long time.

please tell me its still for sale.

i have money from my aunts estate and am ready to ride for the summer!"

A couple years ago a lady who lives just down the street from me brought a whole pile of power tools, wrenches, tool kits, 3 different Dremels/kits, etc. and left them at the curb to be disposed of.

I was in my work truck when I saw this heading to one of my accounts to get some work done.

    (sound of brakes being applied)

Went back, pulled along side - and started loading the stuff in my truck - all the while trying to see if there was anyone home who might offer some kind of explanation as to why.

Finally she walks out...tells me all this stuff belonged to her husband who passed away earlier in the year and she was clearing everything out. It was all in a shop behind the house and she was going to have a pool built there so needed the space.

Then....she wanted to know if I wanted some other things that were still in back. Including two large trash cans - the kind that have wheels. So I loaded those too in the truck.

This was the first time I ever met her. But - during conversation I learned that I did know her daughter and daughter's husband because I did some landscaping work right next to their house.

I gave her my number and said if she ever needed anything let me know. She gave me hers too, but neither of us ever called each other.

Moral to the story......hell you never know why stuff is given/thrown away or sold cheap. Could be any number of things going on.....
