Technically no. The BabyBlade moniker came from the later NC29 which were styled like the Fireblade but (obviously) smaller.

The real "Baby" Blade though was the 250!

Such a shame that the modern bikes that carry the CBR250RR moniker aren't a patch on the 90's bikes. 16v 250cc inline 4 revving to ~20k and making 40PS (earlier ones made 45PS).

I stand corrected! BabyBlade just sounds so much better than "toddler blade" so I am going to keep calling it that!! I like it!!!

it is currently snowing here, so I did not get out the pressure washer!! So nothing to report on the tank as of yet?
I did however get it inside (a little cramped) and managed to get the carburetors off!! IMG_0252.jpeg IMG_0253.jpeg

looks like a new throttle cable might be necessary. :)

Probably should have done the wrestling with the aluminum plenum in place to lessen stress on the bank, just like a V4.

But they're out, so be sure to inspect everything closely.

the cables were nice and smooth before? And you are right Cap(as usual) I should have left that in place for more integrity, I thought it would give me more room to wiggle and pry. The plastic tee fuel inlet was brittle and broke! I did find a new one in the UK almost $100 after shipping!! Man these prices are crazy on parts for this thing!!! Anyway it is off, was NOT easy though.

    lol.....:D

Regarding the Evaporust......feel free to leave it in the tank as long as you want. It only attacks the rust and won't do damage to anything else. Sometimes life happens and it takes longer to get things done when you'd like. Nice product that allows some flexibility in it's use!

BTW, I once bought a 5 gallon container of it from Amazon. Figured it would be a good investment as I re-conditioned a few tanks. It also helps to hang onto any empty 1 gallon containers so you can use those when you transfer the product OUT of the 5 gal. container and into those 1 gallon containers and then poured into the tank. I use a battery operated transfer pump for this.

Datatool ! Not a very handy tool?!! Was wondering why she's got no spark!!!
its a tracking/alarm shitstem that I think is enabling my ignition. IMG_1383.jpg IMG_1382.jpg

I am currently trying to remove it... IMG_1384.jpg IMG_1385.jpg all the wires are black, I follow them into the loom and I can take them out and connect the oem matching colored wires back together?
the question is in the first picture they splice into a solid wire(blue & red) and obviously connect the black w/white back together. and the second picture where it goes into the fuse block I just take them out and hook that wire back together, right?
the blue and red I remove the black ones altogether ? am I correct?

yeah, thanks! but those guys are worthless!! its really old and been sit-in' outside!!!
The batteries in both the remote and head unit were all corroded , my guess is the thing is shot.
I really just want to get it out back to OEM. back to original Honda wiring.

figured out a solution for now and she has spark!
you can permanently disable the stooooopid thing by jumping out pins 1-2 and 5-6 on the first connecter . . . IMG_1388.jpg and spark!! Still want to remove the whole device so it won't be an issue in the future!!!
I want it like OEM, how Honda had it wired? Please advise.

If you don't already have one, pick up the official Honda Service manual. Their will be a complete color coded wiring diagram in the back most likely. Thankfully Honda seems to keep the same coded wires on most of the bikes I have worked on.
I had to rebuild the entire rear section of my RVF that someone hacked up. Irritating, but manageable. Don't get discouraged, just start by picking up that manual and have patience. :)
I also keep every old harness wire I can find from old Honda's to fill in for cases like this.
