Good evening friends....

We had a short discussion recently about recovering seats.

I have a replacement seat cover for an RC26 seat on the way (should have been delivered today) that I bought on eBay. It's Black. I asked the seller if he could get this style in GRAY and he replied "No he couldn't." so........I went on Amazon to see what they had for just the material itself. I need gray right now for these Blue bikes....and also for my Red RC36.

Not sure if I can get this material stretched properly for a seat job - but I want to compare it to the replacement cover when it arrives first to see what I'm up against.

I know one thing. The material I bought from Amazon has THE right texture....and what looks like a close enough match in color. And it was only $10!

 

Looks like that replacement seat cover won't arrive until next week so stay tuned.

A first for me today. I was trying to get a look at some serial numbers on a recent purchase and look what was attached to that head tube.......



And yes it worked perfectly and even has the key code inscribed on it!

 

That texture does look very good. Nice find.

Nope.

 

Another surprise...I found where the tool kit is located on these bikes. One had both tool kit and owner's manual...the other just the tool kit.

Seriously.....I had NO IDEA that little box was in the back there!
