So the RVF400 took a bit out of me and most likely will be my next track bike. The conversion kit does not lend itself to commuting at my old aged ass. The RVF is however, ready for reliable use, which was the main point. Onto the NSR250 Plans: New coolant hoses, seal the headers (no exhaust sealant used when the previous owner mounted them), new air filter, after market gear selection indicator, and new bodywork. Wait what, new bodywork? Hehehe Need some more parts, but should be fun. Oh and I have decided to keep big red as my commuter! Should I keep the original seat and buy another one to reupholster or just upholster the red seat?
If a seat is in good condition, I usually buy another seat to recover. But that can be a gamble as all the seats are old now. Pics of the bottom help a lot looking at what color the foam is thru holes. Still kinda tan or super dark and nasty.
Thanks, Capt. I kinda hate to recover a good seat. I will check out eBay tonight. I like the seat I put on 7hundie a few years ago. It didn’t have the grab rail cutout.
