While I have the frontend off, I thought to pickup this gadget to install a voltmeter and usb socket on my 99 5th gen: https://motomods3dsolutions.com/products/1998-2001-vfr800-charging-bracket So next question is which circuit should I tap into to power the accessories ? Ideally I would like a circuit off the engine start/stop switch. I don't need high current (maybe 2A max) so I'm thinking skip wiring a separate relay from the battery. There used to be someone on the forum who sold an accessory wiring harness but that option appears gone now.
You might consider a simple fusebox direct to the battery under the seat... examples https://www.easternbeaver.com/fuseboxes/ https://www.delcity.net/store/ATO/ATC-Compact-Common-Source/p_811762.h_811763.r_IF1003
Thanks, cycleterminal.com also has some good fuse/relay harness kits. I still need to tap into an existing switched circuit to close the relay. I was thinking maybe piggyback on the low beam relay wire.
