For those who do restoration and repair work, it's so important to try and stay ahead of it all. Don't wait until you need it - keep stuff on hand, as much as possible!

Sifting through classifieds, forums, and auction sites like eBay. Then also utilizing Amazon for various items - like those wooden pegs I got for the side fairing repair work. And many other items.

Luckily I have quite a few insulators already on hand. Fresh new OEM versions. So should be OK. I have several carb swaps coming down the pike. These from PZ would have been for my reserves.

The other part of this parts thing is keeping everything organized - in labeled bins and large bags. I also discovered you can store fairings in those large Tupperware bins to keep them safe and secure. I take digital pics of them after assigning each one a number affixed with tape. Then a log book with description and condition. One by one now I am going through and repairing them as needed.

But if you could see how many storage bins I have - all labeled and organized - you would be impressed. I have even more sorting to do and just squeeze it in as I go along.

That definitely takes a divot from your schedule - but is very necessary.

The other night I had the thought while doing this - dang Honda sure has a LOT of different parts on their motorcycles!!! :D

I was waiting on some stuff from the UK, just received. Yay!
Now I need to regather my patience, and get busy again. I like working on stuff to a point, but
I hit a wall off and on in a project and do get to a point where I don't want to foole with it.

Same here and probably with most, I suspect.

Good luck with your work ahead - just do it when the mood strikes. No need to force anything..... :)
