In a moment of carelessness two years ago, I snapped the bolt for the starter clutch/timing gear while checking valve clearances. Last week I finally overcame my mental block to extract the broken bolt and put my 5th gen back on the road.
The time in between I rebuilt the forks (new Sonic Springs from Jaymie), repainted the wheels and installed new tires.

I am glad you have your bike back on the road. I have a set of braided stainless steel brake land I need to install. Have not gotten to it yet. My biggest issue is the brake lines are original and old. Since I was going to replace them anyway, I decided to go SS.

It looks like your brake lines are not OEM?

I installed a galfer kit when I rebuilt the calipers (I used brakecrafters rebuild kit).

You should definitely consider getting a proper brake bleed handpump if your going the change the lines on a Honda model with front/rear linked brakes.

I did goof up on first install of the new brake lines. https://vfrworld.com/threads/smc-fail.61010/reply?quote=642975

I have a brake bleeding pump. It has made things soooo easier.

    Thank you for the reply!
