    Like I said, Jim....they show up once in a while. Here's one in North Carolina that looks nice. Seller is only asking $2,300......from FB:

    1985 VF500F for sale. This bike is all original and in good condition. It runs fine and everything works as it should. Mileage is only 15K. Located in northeastern North Carolina, USA. It needs to go, so I'm pricing it low at $2300, but this is a firm price. If you want it you need to pick it up and have cash in hand. No creative internet deals of shipping arrangements.

    I think the best way to repair a tank is soldering/brazing. But will cost a new paintwork.

    And trying to get someone with the skills to solder or braze in H-Town? Good luck.

    My local radiator guy basically yelled at me for even asking if he could braze up a fuel tank!
