    How about on the underside of the ignition? Could this be the number? KZ9

    On all my bikes, the stamped number is greater than just 3 digits. But it's the last 3 that represent the key code. And it's usually a letter followed by 2 numbers.

    Here are some stampings on some of my helmet locks for example......

    And on a fuel cap. That last digit is a zero.......

    Where do they normally stamp the ignition. On big red it is on top where the key slides in. I see anything on either the RVF or NSR ignition.

    Typically in the aluminum in an area that is not visible when mounted.
