lovely but missing tank buffers isnt it ? just wont do. vibration likely. otherwise very fine, looks new.

 

I always feel like the tail of the Hawk sits too low. Kinda chopper like. I wonder if so many Hawks with stock suspension just sag?

 

It's because they fucking sag. Gotta get that ass in the air and slide those forks up.

what are the clues ?

 

Looks to me like a respray on the tank (kinda orange peely for Honda), the gear shift lever is scaped/rusted, and the feeler on the left is separating from the rubber foot pad or vice versa. There are no straight photos of the tail, but I think the subframe may be bent and the tail sits slightly twisted. Left being lower than the right.

Or I am just imagining things. lol

 

You may be right on the tank. The petcock has been off and re-installed with Teflon tape. The paint does look a bit thick.

Nothing conclusive on the sub frame for me though. No good straight on rear view.

I noted earlier it had been tipped over on the left.

 

That is what spurred me on to take a deeper look.. "What did he see?" hahaha
