So unfortunately it seems my engine is done. It had some oil issues I fixed a little bit ago but it has now started knocking. While i will probably take the engine apart to investigate, in the meantime i'm looking for an engine to swap in. I have a 2002 VFR and there is a 2005 engine that I can go get. I just want to double check that they are the same engine even though i'm pretty confident they should be right?
I"m pretty sure they are compatible. I know it's been a while since you started this thread, maybe you're already riding your bike!
I hope you have found an engine and are back to riding your VFR. But what I would like to know, what was the mileage when you swapped it over? Did you discover what exactly happened to the original engine?
