I got her home today, ill get her up into the work shop soon, she hasn't been run since the day I dropped her off 5 yrs ago.

She is super clean, but not perfect. I did a frame swap on this one 7 yrs ago (or so), the original bike had a rebuilt title so I re-framed it.

the bodywork and paint had been re done by a prior owner and while the paint work is superb, some of the decals are not quite accurate. But hard to fix sine they're all cear-coated in.

regardless ill have to get her into the shop, drain the tank, drain the carbs (likely clean the carbs they have sat with fuel in them for 5 yrs) and generally recommission it.

big bulky heavy beast with alot of inertia. im guessing a 10yo yam r6 (never mind the new ones) is just as fast and corners better without the excess weight.

its part of motorcycle history, good addition to your awsome collection of seldom or never-ridden prizes.

Always has to be a turd floating in any punch bowl you serve? Can you ever just serve some punch? ;-)

They are big. They are heavy. They are awesome. A couple suspension updates that most bikes need, especially from that era, and they can transform into something pretty damn good. Ask all my buddies how cool the dual round tail lights are when they can actually see them.

    Squirrel… kill yourself!
    Ha ha ha !

It’s just not all about performance. The feeling I get from riding my dinosaurs is priceless. It depends on the individual. My big, heavy, ill handling CBX or H2 are a blast to ride… but that’s just me.

Congrats, beautiful bike. I sold my '85 1KR and 3-4 years later bought it back, right of first refusal of course. ;)

That was a very experimental time for Honda. I'm not saying they were all great ideas, but they definitely pushed the evolution.
