-ColdD it looks chilly. Photos should come out nice. I hear ya on the garage explosion. Buying 2 bikes after saying no more and just cleaning them enough to fit in the garage before our trip wasn’t the best. We will be coming back to a mess. Oh well. Returning from racing weekends are always messy. Lol

-Terry. Oval ain’t no joke. I am considering not purchasing another Arai since they are all round. I used my Nakagami last year at Seca with no problems so I think it is more the long highway travels that really are effected. Shied my wife that Nissan, she was impressed. Hahaha

Bazza- that is a nice playable surf. No beat downs. We will be checking out the beach in a couple of days. Yeww!

A beautiful Skyline last night while cruising the mean streets of Tokyo.

Remember, Arai Helmets for the US come in 2 flavors. Round oval (not the same as Japan) and long oval. Sounds like you need to be trying on the long oval variety for a distance/duration helmet. My head shape fits comfortably in both with all day comfort. My wife is long oval. Signet is the long, and I think the Renegade is too.

Was looking hard at Arai's for a helmet... Signet is the long oval, Regent the intermediate oval, and Quantum is the round....

Thank you for the refresher. They added the Regent since I was still selling Arai.

Quantum/RX/Corsair tend to have to more "exciting" paint schemes it seems to me. And most seem too busy for me.

Long oval is the best fitting in the US for me. I used to race with the signet I believe. Not sure if I will end up with a new Arai but do I really need one? Most likely.
I did pick up some winter gloves. Nankai!
I will get to try them Thursday night I believe. :) Riding to Tokyo at night with my son!

Legendary surf icon Gerry Lopez (aka "Mr. Pipeline") in Australia riding an OSSA 250 trials bike - photo taken at South Moana on the Mid Coast just south of Adelaide in 1975. In the other photo Gerry is wearing a Golden Breed jumper at Waitpinga Beach. Golden Breed was owned by John Arnold around this time.

Last of Japan. It was a great trip and we spent too much, but it was worth it.
My new custom fit ARAI from the ARAI Pro Shop. They took about an hour but the helmet fits absolutely perfect. Ogura 2025.

Also got to drive the Fuji Speedway with my family onboard. Super cool. We also visited the museum. Found this little bike and F1 car.

Stopped at the toll to pay for highway use. Kinda annoying, but the highway was empty so we got to boogie.

    Awesome pics, Rogue!

Can you share a little more about this part?

That's you in the pic? What bike were you on? Who else were riding with you? Your son, right?

    And more pics, please! :)

We were at a toll and my son was paying.
He rode his Honda CBR400 and I was riding his wife's Kawa 400. They are modern parallel twins, so not much excitement there. lol but it was a hoot!

Picked up a free ARAI comic describing the theory around the ARAI Helmets design values.
