The very first "fast" bike I rode was a 1983 VF1100C. Just started working as a lot boy at University Honda in college.

Ride at the time was my 86 VF500F. The V65 Magna was mind-bendingly fast. I remember the rear end lifting a bit with the shaft effect and the next thing was a warp tunnel with everything blurring in the periphery.

In the interest of accuracy, what you actually have is a Honda VF1100C V65 MAGNA.

They were made up to '86, so not sure what year yours is. You can find the model year on the VIN plate or on the title.

I had the same experience but with a 1100 Magna. At the time I had my CBX so when I rode that Magna it was game changing. 6 months later I bought my Vf1000f.

I rode a v65 Sabre once and not only is it fast but it's a big/tall motorcycle.

 

That looks like a Bassani pipe? They were really nice, they had an aluminum coating on them. I always wanted a GPZ1100 but never acquired one. I did have a 750 Turbo, that's one I wish I could have back!
