Gravity fed VF500 ’84 petrol tank

    Has anyone successfully run a VF500 with an '84 or ’85 petrol tank without the fuel pump. I have just got hold a really nice ’84 tank and want to run it on my ’86, but of course there is no pump or wiring for it. The petcock on the ’84 is designed to run with a fuel pump but if possible I don't want to introduce a pump onto my ’86 bike. Any help/advice/views would be appreciated.

    My 86 is set up with an 85 tank and carbs.

    No issues with fuel flow.
