Just picked up my 7th Blue VFR700F......

I would agree with Captain. They went more GT and less GP.

 

Sounds good to me. Stable idle is also a good sign.
Nice original discs too, it seems.

 

After a couple weeks of procrastination - I finally got my butt in gear to do the repair work on the fairings.

Dying to get the bike out on the road!

Tail fairing is busted up a little and two prongs were missing on one of the battery covers.

I also cleaned and polished the windscreen and it's back on the bike.



Making progress on the fairings and should be done by tomorrow and will post more pics then.

Here's the tail fairing as it came - not the worst I've ever see but also not a 1 hour fix!

I'm using SS screening and heat, ABS sticks and heat, and PlastiFix.

 

OK...finished the repairs on the tail fairing and now re-installed. About to finish the battery cover and re-install those.

My objective right now is to get the fairings functional - albeit not necessarily fashionable. That will come later.

 

All back together - finally. Ready to ride! Left battery cover and tail fairing not lined up the best - but everything in place and tight. Now to get that tape residue off!

 

I love the look of that VFR except for the exhaust "tips" ....

 

They are growing on me.....

Got her off the trailer and took her around the block a few times for her first test ride.......wow.....VERY smooth and sounds fantastic!

No tag so didn't want to go any further.

Quite a few cosmetic imperfections but mechanically she's solid! New tires and a good cleaning will be the next item after I get all the paperwork done.

And for what it's worth......I'm not too concerned right now about the muffler tips not being symmetrical.....or even that I have them in the first place...lol.

I REALLY LOVE these Blue bikes!!!

 

Always a treat to get one of these already in running condition without any work needed on fuel, brakes, clutch, electric, etc.

I try to enjoy that as much as possible.

Location is only 1 state away so that matters. Plus it's in complete and running condition so that also matters.

How could anyone turn that down?!?!

You'll like the sound of the Kerker slip-ons.

 

He has the original exhaust too and it will come with the bike....but agree....Kerker Kicks!

 

Can't make this stuff up.

For those not keeping score......I now have Blue bikes with:

a. factory exhaust with a Kerker sticker on it
b. Keerker slip ons without Kerker stickers
c. factory exhaust with little jet tubes
