Are they rare because they were an option for the bike, so you don't see them much.....or because they were standard on the bike but tended to get destroyed, damaged, or lost?

    Just curious - thanks!

I believe it's the same for my 1000 Interceptor. Aftermarket units that were not popular with owners. Could have been price. My set were $310 back in 1984. So not too many around.

Whoa, that is pricey! It seemed like such a premium to have bodywork back in the day. Now you can get a full set from China that fit remotely well and painted for $600. Crazy. Still crappy, but were the aftermarket pieces back then any better?

My Lockhart are thick and solid compared to the China units so I would say yes … better

They are aftermarket, Lockhart-Philips. Weren't many to begin with. Bikes getting crashed and totalled. Pieces getting taken off for service then lost to the family garage.

They aren't very big, so they weren't that expensive. Their fit and integration was superb, I have a friend who has them. And a goddam seat cowl!!

Seems like the seat cowl is needed by many?

Lockhart was some of the best plastic pieces. Really good engineering and molds. OEM quality on many pieces.

Targa had some plastic, mostly glass. Pretty damn good stuff too.

Windslicks are rare, but well made with thick plastic. I have a set of lowers or a 1983 VF750F that retain the stock chin cowl.

Telefix was glass out of Germany. Very well made, but needed really good attention to details when mounting to make them look integrated.

I'd give Rogue's remaining left nut for one.

They were an official Hondaline Accessory.

I’ll put it in my search…
You’re probably gonna have to add some cash to that left nut offer. Sounds like it’s on its last leg.
