No kidding on the CBX parts. Took my CBX to the Oregon Vintage Motorcycle show in Rickreall today. Lots of British bikes, less than a dozen Asian bikes.

My "new" bike is on the way.....

    Ready for this?

It's an '86 RWB 700 that a previous owner 'converted' with Candy Wave Blue fairings.

Has not run in a few years, so will need some work.

I have all the correct (RWB) fairings for it in my spares.....including fuel tank, tail cowl, headlight cowl, battery covers, lower fairings, and front fender. And new turn signal stalks! Will come with the correct Blue seat.

Alright, not a picture but a screenshot. But I figure it's topical and I find it pretty cool. Years ago I made a bunch of VF500 videos. A lot of them sucked, and I took a lot of them down. But there's this group of guys (high school aged when we started talking a few years ago) that I've been trading messages with on Instagram for years regarding questions on their VF's. They have just gone bananas and have rebuilt like 5 full engines and done some awesome work. I get updates from them every couple months. Hoping to meet some of them in person at Vintage Motorcycle Days later this year.

At this point, I have nothing left to offer them regarding advise. They're the experts. And when I need help, I'll probably be reaching out to them! While we're headed toward a Dead Internet, I'm glad to know there are still some pockets out their (VFRW being one of them) that still have positive discourse and help people out and share cool, real things. Especially with motorcycles.

This was a comment left on one of those videos.

Last useful piece of advice I gave them was one that you gave me a few years ago. They couldn't get the front axle split. I told them to use a spare front axle from another bike to hold it since the flats there are really weak. They said it worked like a charm.
