Interesting.

I have a set of Charles Crites fiberglass fairings - which include a double headlight fairing.

I figured I would play around with it one day on one of my RC26's.

One of the Blue bikes, given the blue fairing color.

The tag indicates an RC36 application, but they'd probably work on an RC26/24, no?

 

That is pretty cool!! I have never seen that config.

 

Saving it for my "Mad Max" build.....

 

Nice I met Chuck decades ago. He made my fiberglass gas tank ala RC45 with functional ramair. I have one of his one piece solo race tails never installed. See Air tech copied it.

 

Somebody's tag is wrong. That is RC24/26 all day long. I'm surprised you couldn't tell just by looking at it and comparing Baz.

 

OK thanks, Capt. I thought they were - but doesn't hurt to get confirmation.

I mean......I wouldn't have bought them at all unless I thought they'd work on an RC24/26.

 

The 1986 "RC26"



OEM 1993 CBR900RR front fairings on my custom mounts. RC36 clip-ons. Cobalt Racing 1-piece tail with removable solo cowl. Quickie paint job and custom graphics were supposed to be temporary and just kind of a proof-of-concept that I came up with one morning with some coffee and a greyhound. It's been this way for a while.



Forks are place holders but work great. RC36 tubes and internals in CBR600F3 lowers. F3 wheel and brakes. RC24-II 41mm triple clamps. I have full F3 forks I need to go thru, and I can use these on another swap project that might need longer forks.



F3 rear wheel, rebuilt CBR600F2 Fox TC with shorter clevis, running thru 87 linkage.



VTR1000F rear caliper on a modified F2/3 carrier to use the original brake stay arm and hardware.



Unknown 4-2-1 rear exhaust section (likely Kerker?) with Tyga (obviously) aluminum muffler.

I don't Mike but I think it's perfect the way it is. I do prefer black brake lines ( busting your balls ). It just look right. Probably sounds awesome.

Thanks Capt, I really like the 900rr look. Especially the yellow headlight mix. Kinda gettin a little jelly. mmm a sucker for double round head lights.

 

That dual headlight setup looks beast !
