Front end juddering when braking hard. During investigation of the brakes I discovered right hand caliper had a worn/broken slider where the pads sit. I'm assuming this pad float is the culprit, we'll see if issue is eliminated once replaced. Real question is has anyone had a similar issue? Will it be worth changing to the 4 pots from the early 2000 CBR's? I was informed that I'll need to swap the whole front end over; forks, wheel, axle and then I can delete the hardlines to rear master.
I dont remember years except early 6th gen some calipers eventually wore in that space. Honda did an upgrade in later years. ---I'm a big fan ( for me) of changing over to 4 pot calipers (RC51,954,F4i) ...I used RC51 calipers and master cylinder. On 6th gen, F4i fork lowers mated to the VFR upper tubes are a good solution, you get to keep stock triples.. 5th gen ...VTR1000 lowers mated to the stock upper tubes, same deal.
