Perhaps I didn't know what wheel we were talking about. Last night in Spain.... And it feels like it.

I thought you had a 8 spoker on the rear and a 5 spoker on the front. My 94 vfr has the same front. I like them way more than 3 spoke all day.

Ooooh 180/55 sounds tasty on my wanna be rc45. :) Probably just stick to the 170 for better turn in.

As Capt galivants around the globe I have been making life choices. My aspirations of vintage moto racing is dead. The body says hell no and after hanging out with my 89yr old dad at Seca a mental choice was made.
I would rather get to 89 on two legs like my father then risk so much just to race 2 wheels. So we all know I bought the CRX earlier this year and now I have been doing my due diligence to become track worthy. OCD much....
First is getting the engine bay cleaned up/ race prepped and second is the interior cleanup. Wiring is all over the place, but the car runs great. Rerouting and general "don't leave 10ft of HOT wire in the engine bay", kind of work.
Today was teaching myself timing belt replacement. Nervous but it seems to have worked. Took a long time but the Tube and google helped out. I also learned from here to pick up the OE Service manual as standard practice. Having a factory manual has been nice. $40 shipped

Oh and Seca was a blast. I hadn't seen pops in over 3yrs. He wants to connect more. We both love cars so Seca was having the pre-Historic race weekend. Got to see some of my all time favorites and he was still able to walk around the pits with a few pit stops in the shade. Win win. Now for the random. :)

Roque … I hear you my brother. I like to think I would rather wear out than rust out. Just don’t speed up the wear. I think you’re making a great choice.
As far as Dad is concerned, spend as much time as possible with him. I wish I had more time with my dad … died much too young.
Great work on the car brother!

Nice pics and updates, @RogueRC24 !

I owned an '83 Honda Accord LX back in the 90's and took it to a shop for the timing belt replacement. I know my limitations! That was a great car though - stick shift and ran like a little sewing machine!

As far a track events - I did this with the PCA's "Driver Education" for a few years when I bought my first Porsche - an '81 911SC Targa. This program isn't racing - it's for owners to driver their cars on race tracks in a more controlled format. I got to drive at Roebling Raceway in Savannah, Sebring, and Moroso in Palm Beach. I ended up getting bored with it and just moving on. Glad I was able to do it though - quite exhilarating! The PCA also has a full on racing program called "Club Racing" but too much for me.

But I've been a big fan of sports car racing for many many years so am excited for you and look forward to more updates.

Lastly - agree with @sixdog about spending more time with your Dad. Do it, please.

Watched the total solar eclipse from Castle Turegano. Here they are setting up for the music, food and drinks afterwards. The area on top to the left with the flag is where we watched from.

Only 70 people got access. View of Turegano from there.

The next night a storm came in. We got so lucky with the weather. This is not a postcard.

    Started in Prague. Lovely city.

2nd to last is the view from my friend's apartment. She is the publicist for an Apple TV project being shot there.

Almost a week in Prague. Then it was a flight to the northern coast of Spain and in the Basque region, coastal resort city of San Sebastian.

Cliff side bar overlooking one of the inlets.

I am not the most prolific picture taker and I haven't fully organized all.of the pictures from our group. But it's beautiful there.

We also got invited to a friend's family's Gastronomical Society private club for a meal they prepared. A very special honor and it was amazing.

A few days there and then it was to Turegano for the eclipse that you saw. We were in that region for almost a week. Drove up to Segovia to check out the nearly 2000 year old aquaduct built without mortar or cement.

Also is the city where Walt Disney visited and after seeing this castle went back and started designing with his Imagineers.

That looks kind of like the arrangement on the Honda ST1100 except that one has to reach both heads of the V4. I bet there are some common parts there.

Great photos, I last visited Segovia with my folks in 1974, the aqueduct seems to have aged well. What have the Romans ever done for us?
