R.I.P Drewl

I feel like a bit of a newbie to just be responding to a chat like this, but I just wanted to say that how you described how he was a quiet Christian is exactly how Christians should aspire to be. Not pushy or ranty or having a moral highground, but steady and strong when needed. Even though I may have never met Him, I'm sure that I may one day meet him in heaven. I wish that more Christians would live how Drew did, from how you mentioned. Please forgive me if this is out of line!

May the motorcycling community be continually filled with people who are understanding and committed to building up a legacy as beautiful as the one Drew has built. My prayer goes out to you all!

 

I knew he was sick, but I did not know of his passing. Heartbraking. We met one last time in Louisville a while back when he was in town for a convention. At least we got to hang out one last time. For those that don't know, Drew is wearing the Honda shirt in the previous pics. We had a lot of fun hanging out together. One time at the races the parking people took his bike and impounded it. We're sitting on a hill and see it go by. Drew says hey that looks like my bike. oh shit it is my fucking bike . Our inside joke was once on his birthday he got really hammered and was puking in a big garbage can. I said hey you need help? He says yeah come hold my hair for me. So from then on that was our joke. I'll hold your hair for you. So I'll hold your hair for you wherever you are my friend. Phew.

 

Another time we went to MotoGp in Indy. There were three of us and we had tickets with the Aprilia group. The night before Drew chats up this dude in the hotel bar that is an ex racer and now works for GoPro. Turns out GoPro had bought this suite above the garage but now all the execs had to fly to someplace in Japan to try to get a contract or something the same weekend. So ex racer says hey come hang with us in the suite we have a ton of room and the execs said do whatever you want with it. So we did. Free food, drink and actual pit passes escorted by ex racer himself. All because Drew has skillz. Best race day ever.

 

I just found out tonight that we lost Drew. Reading here that we nearly lost Randy too. I'm shocked to say the least. I was on here daily and loved the chats. Met several of you in person including Drew a few times. During his Virginia stay we even managed to get our twins together. Yes, yellow is the fastest lol. Rest easy my friend.
