No mention of the age of the tires - but the above comment plus the "High Speed" drive by video must mean something......yes? No? Maybe?

I think the age and condition of the tires should be mentioned with specificity. When I start selling my bikes, my plan is for them to all have new tires and I will make sure I include that cost in my valuation and also make sure it's mentioned in my classified.

Just took the Interceptor out on one last quick ride through the country near my home. She’s a beauty and a blast to ride.

 

This is pretty nice and I'm tempted. If it was still located in South Carolina, I'd possibly be a serious contender in this auction. I'm actually glad it's not though. I've got enough projects to keep me content through fall/winter.

 

Here we go......10 minutes to go and at $5,600.....

The seller of this bike was nice enough to allow us to have a phone conversation last night. I had sent him a message asking for his input on how the auction went through B.a.T.

The "Contact Seller" button goes away at end of the auction, so this is something you have to do (establish communication) beforehand.

He could have declined or even ignored me - but he gave me his phone number and was very happy to talk about not only the auction/B.a.T. but we ended up chatting about other things "VFR" for over 2 hours!

Really good guy.

One thing he mentioned I thought was interesting was the timing of selling a bike as it relates to the seasons of the year. Was second guessing selling his RC24 this close to winter vs. waiting until next spring. The argument being the bidding would go higher in a spring auction than a fall auction.

I have yet to sell a single one of my bikes and he has sold about 40, so that's the kind of thing that interests me. I have 2 of my VFR's in mind to sell this winter so we'll see I guess. They won't be on an auction - just FBMP and/or CL.
