I got a Euro right side handlebar switch pod. Is there any chance it'll work on a US bike? Could it be plug 'n play?

    thanks!

Yes, I did the same thing, turns off the head light, I still have front running lights as I have dual filament bulbs.

I put it in a while ago, took it right back off. Blew a fuse, I forget which one. More investigation needed, eventually.

A blown fuse is often caused when the brake light switch terminals touch the exposed handlebar and cause an earth. You would have to remove and refit the brake when you swapped the right bar switch, and if the brake reservoir got rotated too far, this is what can happen. Ask me how I know. It takes out the turn signals and horn as well as the brake light. Easily fixed by rotating the brake reservoir to make a little clearance and checking the rubber boots are in good shape on the brake switch terminals.

Thanks! I'll check that when I get back to it, but I have a Brembo MC with a whole different brake light switch.
