DAY-UMMM, that's a sweet old sled with modern rubber, suspenders, and brakes. The only thing I don't care for on it are minor cosmetic things: the large red inset numbers and the lack of a rear seat cowl. Even in Japan, those must be too expensive! LOL

    492 km on the clock?!?

That explains why it looks so nice. Hopefully somone's riding it now that it has new rubber...

No, it's 4921 km but that's still not much. Not sure about the speedo' but the rest of the instrumentation is non-oem.

I sure as heck would like to put some nice brakes like that on my 86. Two piston sliders don't cut it when you're used to Yamaha's StoppieTech(tm) monoblocs.

Great looking bike. I remember a poll taken from VFR owners that showed the 1st generation VFR's in red, white, and blue to be the best looking of all. This bike shows why.

It's a second generation V4, but a first gen VFR. This is a source of some minor confusion around these parts.

    Nicely done - subtle.

Looks fairly stock from a distance, until you get up close and really appreciate all the functional & appropriate mods.

Classy (except for the "01" graphics, imho).

I like the vent covers... I'll have to make some, since I don't really need the air anymore :)

Gauges are RC45, as are, I believe, the engine, rads, etc.

That is one good looking machine, simplicity can be beautiful. I dont think that is a nitrous line, looks like an oil line on the high pressure side. I believe the person who built this bike is far above putting NOS on it. Next time I feel like selling my 00,I just gotta remember this post. eddie

The braided line is for the oil cooler.
