I saw this article and thought it reflects on Honda's approach to their motorcycle line up as well, hence my posting it here under general VFR discussions. Honda's line up is not as flashy as it could be, but I'd echo that the quality of the finish, fit, and performance of my 25th anniv. VFR is still outstanding after the first 10k miles.

If I made my living as a professional racer and needed bleeding edge technology, then I'd have a problem with Honda's business strategy. I'm OK with a proven product line with incredible reliability. As a consumer, that is what I expect.

Honda seems to stick with a basic design and refining it to perfection before moving on to the next gen. I'd rather have the last of an older, proven and refined design than the first of the newest, unproven, unrefined product.
BTW Noz, how did that haircut thing turn out?

I'm still growing it out. The Mullet requires more hair than I have to offer right now. ;-)

the Viffer's not just any Honda. Rather, they should market it as an Acura.

it's that good. 10,972 trouble free miles on the 2007 RWB has me sold.
