On every other forum I'm on, the founder of the forum seems to be pretty high profile.

I still have't deduced who that is on VFRWorld.com yet. (Thought it might have been Vinny for a while, but now I'm not sure...)

    So, who is it?

I DID! PAY NO ATTENTION TO THE MAN BEHIND THE CURTAIN!

Okay, I could never pull that BS.

    Michael.
He built this town as far as I have it figured.
    Vinny and Reg are moderators.

Yep, you caught me, I'm guilty. :) And yes, Vinny and Reg are critical to our success - if they weren't here, this place would be the wild west!

There is a bit of a history lesson about VFRworld here:

    Michael -

My sincerest thanks for running one of the BEST boards on the 'net.

Great people, no trolls, a general lack of flame wars, and the best topic around (VFR's of course) make a great site.

BTW - good choice on the 4G!

Boy Howdy! Add me to the "Pat You on the Back" list Michael. A great site...and the history was fun to read as well. We DO appreciate the hard work so we can play here. :blah: :blah: :blah:
Now, even though you can't fix my bank account details while you are behind that curtain, can you give me a heart or some courage? How about that chick with the red shoes...I dig her...she matches my VFR!

I have to agree with the others, I don't think I could make it through a day without my "Bike Fixes". I frequent this forum and one for V-Stroms and sometimes I think they are the only thing keeping me sane while it's cold ;)

Thanks for all the hard work. We don't say it nearly as often as we should but that doesn't mean we don't appreciate it.

You thought I did cause I was so visible for a long time. When you don't have work, or don't have much work, and lots of time, you can be as visible as I was. lol. Now I just work a lot and post when I can. I try to help keep an eye on things but I think reg stepped up his game cause he now sees things before I do. hehehehe

actually, the members themselves have been very helpful in alerting me when necessary. I generally just scan the messages and try to keep a look out for flames, etc. But for few times I have had to delete something, usually someone sends me a quick note to check it out. It helps tons because our message traffic is hard to keep up with on work days. On my days off, I go back through it and try to stay current with all the 'new' topics.

Agreed and done. This site doesn't pay for itself. I would hate to lose it. Thanks to all who are responsible for keeping it going.

Is there a mailing address if we want to send cash? No, I am not kidding. I really do mean it.

    This is a great forum.

It is one of my daily highlights to read the pearls of wisdom some you leave LOL!

I enjoy the community and mechanical advice people share.

I should have posted this up sooner, but here is the link to what he was referring.

    http://vfrworld.com/index.php?page=insider

There is also a link called insiders on the homepage. That is the membership option. We don't advertise it heavily because making money is not really the purpose in the site, but it does help Michael with the costs of the server, the software, etc. which adds up.
