I have an 07 and now have about 1200 miles on it, the thing is amazing. I love this bike. Red White and Blue is the way to go. I work for the DoD and the guards always comment on my patriotic bike!
Vtech is strong, the underseat exhaust and single sided swingarm are slick, and the tinted-ish windshield looks great.

I went to see them at the dealership. They look even better in person. I like the candy apple red, the paint job is deep. I'm now planning trade in my 2003 because of the paint scheme. I agree lose some weight and the linked brakes, but I like the VTEC.

    And this is a problem?
If you can get up to 160 your haulin a$$ bro!
If you are trying to keep up with a bike, that is way lighter and faster than the portly VFR , and is newer...your out of luck.
    We all are.
But if you'r hangin in there with the crotch rocket crowd, riding your 06,
    your doin fine.
Enjoy the bike for the type of bike that it is...it's not a racer...but it's also not a slug.

I just bought one and I luv it. Last bike was a 600 Hurricane. Loved it too, this bike reminds me of it, only WAY BETTER!

My '84 500 was the same paint scheme. If they really wanted the RWB to look retro they need to:
    1) drop the goofy, illegible "Interceptor" font and use the original block lettering... in white!
    2) Put the amber turn signals back on. I mean, who really cares about clear lenses? What's the big deal with those?

    Your Right

Your right on the paint. I almost bought the Candy Dark. I purchased this one because I got such a great deal. I was away on business in Saranac Lake New York and met a guy with a pristine Red 2001 VFR800. I liked the lines and the VFR800 in large letters on the side cowels. As for the turn signals yes they should be amber, also not so sure integrating them into the body made the bike look better. I liked the look of the 2001 better.

We all know the colour scheme is French, so whats the big deal.

Paint is paint, engineering is what makes the thing what it is...

In answer to the question about after-market exhausts, the answer is YES... Two Brothers makes slip-ons, but better still is the full system replacement by Leo Vince (stainless, aluminum, or titanium, take your pick).

I have to agree, I really bought one downunder and you only get one option, RWB with a dark charcoal colour on the rims. I've been thinking about chamging the rims colours and like you i imagine white would look good, or the other option I have been thinking about is polished rims. I have to admit the bike does have a lot of different colours on it.

I have seen a picture of one with white rims in the States.

    Hey T,
Sounds like you're in love with your bike, that's cool i can understand that.
I have the same bike downunder. Have you done anything to the exhaust, because if you haven't you should. I don't mean buying new ones, just modifying what's there. Then it sounds good too.

I've had mine for over a year now and absolutely love it. The RWB in the sun is stunning. It turns heads wherever I take it. I'm sure you're going to love it.

    New 2007 VFRs

Our local Honda dealer here has two 2007's, the wine color and the red, white and blue without ABS. They have had both of these for a year now. I asked them to give me a price and they quoted me $9895.
I'm thinking, 'Dude, that's the same price you've had on them for a year now. Wouldn't you think it's time for a nice price cut?'

The Candy Dark Red listed for $10,599 and the RWB was $11,099. I hope that price is for a RWB model. I agree though, that they need to do a little better than that if they want to move them. I imagine that the RWB will always carry a higher price tag (beyond the color up-charge) because of the 25th Anniversary color scheme and badging.

Oh yeah, seen one at bike night a couple weeks ago and LA cycle sports has two of them. Side note, they also have two '07s, one RWB and one Red. As of a couple weeks ago they even had one NOS '06 pearl white.

I think our local honda dealer just avoids VFRs. at least the one in Paso Robles does. I think there is still an 05 or 06 sitting on the floor in San Luis Obispo so they probably didn't go for the new model either... I know they skipped the RWB one anyway. I doubt they went for a silver one.

I had back in the 80' the 750 interceptor, on the red, white and blue colors, so it was right to buy the 07 25th Annv. still a great bike I have around 6k miles on her in the last 5 months, I mostly use her for dayly commutes since she is great on gas or she is confortable in long trips, for Sunday to ride with the guys I use one of the other sportbikes I have in the garage. I was thinking on putting her on the track day to see how she does in the track.
