I stumbled onto VFRworld while searching online for frame slider/crash cage options for my '06. That was back in August. I became a member in December. Now I'm on at least four nights a week anywhere from 2-6 hours at a time reviewing as many threads as I can.
This is an outstanding site with countless members who are extremely knowledgeable in their own areas and at least a handfull of members who seem to be full of wisdom regarding just about every aspect of VFRs.
Anyway, I learn something new almost everytime I visit; hope all of you can say the same.

What, when, where, why, how, did you first hear about VFRworld?

Last January (2007) when I ordered my VFR I did several searches to try and learn more about what I was getting into. That is, general motorcycle searches as well as VFR specific. Of course that led me here. I always enjoyed checking in to read what was happening, but I actually just joined here last month. I agree fully, VFR world is a heck of a web site. Good humor, good knowledge, and a great way to pass time since its too damn cold now to ride here anyway!! EVvy

OOPS - EDIT - I guess I just signed up this month. Memory real bad.

Every time I buy a new bike, the first thing I do is search for the bike model and forums, ie "VFR forums". Simple as that.

I was deliberating between a Triumph Sprint ST or a VFR, so I was researching problems, issues, dealer support, etc. Many of the Google searches pointed to strings on this site on various topics. Once I started looking at how much information was here, the generally good attitudes of all the members, and the hysterical comments that show up in wonderfully good proportion to the serious replies, I bookmarked it for reference. Once I decided on the VFR over the Sprint, I joined.

In retrospect, part of my decision to go with the VFR was based on how happy the users are with their bikes. When you consider the total amount of miles on all the bikes represented here, and how few issues there really are, it's pretty impressive.

Great place to be a small part of!

I think I had already decided to take the plunge anyway but was looking for anything to support my decision and found this great site.

I was doing some research on VFR's when I was in the market in '06 and stumbled across it. I found VFRD as well, but IMO, they were full of info, but too uptight to hang around....IMO.

I did a Google search for VFR info before I bought my '07. The opinions and reviews on this site help me solidify my decision that buying a VFR would be a great move, and it was. Thanks to everyone on here for their info and humor!

Ditto. My research on the BEST BIKE TO OWN led me to a VFR, so google searches about "VFR reviews" led me to it. VERY GLAD I DID! The other site is cool too but I spend more time here!
    We've got DerStuka afterall!!!

Surfin' the 'net gathering info on the VFR I had just bought.(In my typical fashoin,I buy first on impulse and research later).
Stumbled upon this place and got hooked on the vast knowledge base and interesting personalities.
Lurked around for a few months and then just HAD to join!
This is the first and only time I have joined an internet forum.
I'd like to take this opportunity to thank all members for the time and knowledge you share here!:hail:

I followed Stuka. Was on VFRD(still am) and heard about VFRW. I agree with his summary also. They have a ton of knowledge and moddy modding junk. They just seem more straight laced than this crowd. So I go there for some stuff and come here for other stuff(mostly Manuela). I am also on an FZR forum that I joined for info on my old FZ600 that I got rid of after getting the viffer. I just like to see bike related conversation and humor. I am trying to assimilate myself with the sportbiking culture so you guys will like me. PLEASE like me...I need friends.

I found it through Google. Started over at VFRD first, but the 2nd time getting a virus with that site was enough. I found over here it's easier to stay up on things since my forum time is pretty limited, plus it's more laid back which suits me just fine.

I, too, found and joined VFRD first after doing a Google search when I got my bike. There was a reference there to VFRW so here I came. I quickly found I liked the atmosphere here a lot more and it's become my main source of info. I still haven't posted word one on VFRD for some reason.

I spend most of my online time here; well, that and the por... OOPS! :bolt:

I was welcomed with open arms!

I recently purchased my first motorcycle, a 1986 VFR 700 F2, from forum member Dean_Fulton. I am now learning how to ride, and am looking forward to it.
