Ok... (Trying to steer the thread back to it's original direction)... I'd have to go with beer.

I don't care if pot was made legal, there's nothing like sitting on my patio after a log ride on a nice warm day and cooling off with a good beer in a frosted pint glass.

None taken. But other than this particular point, I think you and I are on the same page for the most part. Except that I don't smoke pot and I don't give a rat's ass how much I have to drink, I DON'T DO KAREOKE! And for your sake, that is probably a great thing! Even though we are a continent apart, you would probably still hear the sour notes.

Yup. It's beer for me. I have even enjoyed the .05 stuff from time to time. Something about that taste from a clean frosted glass.

BTW. If you are reading this one, I won't get into the clean glass, gulping down and starting over

I know a lot of people who think the same thing. You know how it is, though, any time the governement gets involved, they screw it up.

as far as the topic, I'm not sure what I would do. I really like beer so I am sure I wouldn't give it up. I have occasionally partaken of left handed cigarettes but never felt like I would prefer it to beer. I do think IMO legalizing it and takeing it off the "DRUG WAR" most wanted list would save us millions, but I'm sure all the Al Capone wannabes out there don;t want that to happen any more than the Jerry Falwells...

That's probably just as well... Is there a camera in my house? You read my mind, Randy!

From my very narrow view of things, drugs (alcohol included) are not the issue. The issue is that reality sucks so badly that we want to use them...

All I would add to that is "pick your poison". I like cigars, several kinds of alcohol, and eat lots of things that are composed entirely of lard, sugar, and synthetic fillers (they do taste good, though). I will add that I moderate my bad habits as required, and stay on top of my physical health through exercise, supplements, etc.

Sucking smoke, of any kind, into your body on purpose is a bad idea, and adding fluids that are corrosive to your internal organs is also a bad idea. So if your kidneys or liver are an issue, smoke pot. If you have respiratory problems, drink beer. If you are in poor health period, avoid them both.

If I had to choose one over the other, for myself personally, I would probably get an attitude about having to choose and refuse to answer.

I'll vote for the beer thanks. Cheers.

As for legalising prostitution, that was done here a few years ago.

How much tax the government gets though may be questionable, since I assume most transactions would be done on a cash basis with no documentation.

Up until now, I thought I was keeping it under wraps... my attitude, that is. Apparently, it shows through in spite of my best efforts.

Must be all that beer and weed... I never inhaled, though. No telling what would happen if I said I never swallowed...

I wonder if there is a correlation between "mellowing with age" and long-term side effects of toxic intake? Apparently I am dangerously low on toxins.

And can you imagine being the guy that was going to be on the front wheel? What possible argument could convince you that it was a good idea?

It's bad enough that I have 2 hobbies that cost more than Heroin ( All things M/C's & all things Guns).
It's bad enough to have a seperate bank account to supply both feeding the 2 via I.V. :vtr2:

Along with my favorite hobbies of my family :grouphug: , why would I wast brain cells  time & money on Beer & Canibus :yuck: .

the only thing pot is a gateway to is pepsi and doritos.
the gateway argument is so played out it is not even funny. proven time and time again that the only reason it is considered a gateway is that it will expose people to those elements that have the "other stuff" and those people have a vested interest in securing your business so they will push other things or potentially soup up bad product etc.. by legalizing and regulating they would effectively remove that link.

i have on occasion fired up a fat one and passed it around. that being said myself and those around me who do partake want nothing and i repeat nothing to do with any of the harder drugs. in fact it is very important to know your source and that things are unadulterated as it where.

in terms of toxicity it really has none. it is physically impossible to overdose on pot. (you would essentially have to smoke a square bail of the stuff) alcohol however is a different story

the whole legalization movement is also quite interesting. canada is a seasaw back and forth between kissing american dea ass and level headed thinking on legalization. the us and your drug czar are a real shit show. plus you have the cia, an acronym i believe for cocaine importers association sched 1 is for no medical purpose whatsoever. but cancer patients in canada and across the world use it regularly to inhibit pain and restore appetite after chemo. British based gw pharmacuticals is making an inhaler form etc. funny how a plant that could replace half the stuff in your medicine cabinet and can grow in the ditch is illegal hmmmmmm. if you open yourself up to half the potential of the hemp/pot plant as a source of fiber/oil/medicine you will clearly see the strong forces that will continue to oppose its advancement into modern agriculture.

for the rest of you delusional folks who claim to be 100% drug free. go take your zanex, prozak and viagra. remember when you "tell your doctor" he is just a dealer. ever wonder why big pharma ads are on tv. how many doctors do you think they are trying to educate vs joe shmoes who say "hey i have those symptoms i need that drug"

    end rant LOL

I don't care if you like me or agree with what I say. I am entitled to my opinion just like you are.

It DOES NOT matter if you think it should be legal or you think it doesn't hurt people. Drugs are illegal, therefore using them makes a person a criminal. If you desire to have marijuana legalized, contact your elected officials. Until that day happens, I say again, let the scum of society have the drugs. If my best friend or mother started using pot, I would attempt to help them. If they refused to stop, I would stop my association with them immediately. It goes back to the police thread, I don't place myself in such positions & I don't associate with criminals.

Drugs alter your mental status. To say they don't is remarkably naive at best. I'm not trying to single out any one drug, all of them do this, that's why they're illegal. For people to sit here & debate whether or not drug a is worse than drug b & that drug c should be legalized is completely irevelant. I don't want to intentional put anything ILLEGAL into my body. If they made alcohol illegal, I'd stop using that too. As of now, alcohol is not illegal & you never see a police raid on TV busting a Miller Lite ring in the desert outside of Vegas do you? If they make nicotine illegal, I'd get rid of my 2 humidors the next day.

Legal drugs, such as prescriptions, alter your body & mental status as well. When they've been prescribed by a doctor, then that's perfectly fine by me. I certainly know I liked having the Percocet when I was in re-hab for my shoulder.

    KC-10 FE out...

Doesnt Mexifornia, I mean commiefornia, I mean california have a medicinal marijuana law, I beleive for glaucoma? Also has been proven to help with cancer, pharmaceutical drugs cause more deaths in the US and elsewhere than pot, I always get a second opinion when somebody else wants to tell me what to put in my body, like my doc, and Im straight up with him about everything. OMG I guess Im a hardened criminal now, Oh wait so is Good Ol GWB! He did Coke! I never did that! Oh his daughter is a druggie too, oops did I spill the can of worms,........ wheres that cat? I cant stand hypocrites and prejudice people, they piss me off
