Hello everyone. I'm not one for forums so I dont' know if this will become a habbit of mine or not, but I figured I'd try it out. Last summer my buddy lent me his 96 VFR750 and I simply fell in love with the bike. Since then I've moved from Pittsburgh PA to beautiful Denver Colorado. I sold my car a few weeks ago, and am about to purchase a 91 VFR750 on monday! It's only going to cost $1,500, and I'm really stoked to get it. It's just such a great machine and from what I understand the engine is bullet proof if you take care of it.

Anyhow, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

So what's the forum like? What does everyone talk about? I'm not huge on talking to people online, but again, I figured what the heck. I might meet a few interesting buddies. Alright all, take care. Ride safe.

What up my man? What is the shizzle? We mostly talk about hot chicks, porn, who can fart the loudest, and occasionally about VFRs! Just messin' well, I guess not really.....hahaha!

Welcome to the forum, and I wish you luck on geting your bike on Monday!

YYEEESSSSSS I picked it up yesterday! I'd like to repaint it because it looks like someone rattle canned it at some point, but once I do that I think it'll be gorgeous. I had a VFR out in Pittsburgh when I lived there, but out here is completely different because I live in Denver and we have MOUNTAINS! I can't wait to take it up there.

So how's everyone else this fine afternoon? Weather's perfect out here!

Well, up until this week the weather here too was about perfect but we relapsed into winter again. Looks like another full week before spring returns:frown:

Anyway welcome to the site and congrats on the new bike. You are going to absolutely love it!

    Welcome to the site!
Seriously though...check out the various topics to get a feel for what we discuss. Use the search function to see what threads exist for questions you may have. By reading some of the threads you'll get a feel for what is the "normal" way to ask questions and respond to them. It is a great place to learn.
Now, just be safe out there...we want you to come back and chat!

Hey you should post up some pics of your beauty! Mine had a rattle can when I first got it, but then I repainted with different spray paint and people couldn't tell the difference... Lots of clear coat and wax is key!

welcome to the site. I think we have some more users over there in Denver. As the guys suggested, browse around and get a feel for the way people type replies and such. Try not to be offernded in something sounds smart assed. That's the way we roll... or at least the way Stuka rolls! hehe

Welcome to this wild world of VFRs!

I'm sort of new to this forum too (member since Oct 2007) and to help guide you through this I've written up an unofficial summary of key people
    in this forum:

KC-10 FE: You could call him the Guru or Oracle of this forum. Yes, he's opinionated but he's been right just about every time. If you see a comment from him, listen to him! He is very wise.

derstuka: What a hilarious guy, he provides a lot of entertainment to this forum. I have to admit without him VFRWorld would be boring and like VFRDiscussion.com If you need a laugh, check out his threads! EDIT: believe it or not they made this joker a moderator as well...haha(signed: derstuka)

reg71: He's the administrator of this forum but he's a really cool dude unlike those nazis at VFRDiscussion.

WhiteKnight: An admin of this forum too, he's a cool guy too. But make sure you watch your language since he pointed out that kids sometimes read this forum too.

VFRShorty: She hasn't been here that long but she's already breaking hearts left and right with her batting eyes and stiletto heels. (Ok, I'm kidding about the breaking hearts part!) As much as I hate to say it she's already taken and if that wasn't bad enough her boyfriend likes Buell motorcycles! Yeah I know I tried to talk her out of it but no luck.

mello dude: Now this guy knows motorcycles, especially the VFR. Check out his thread where he actually took out the linked brake system on his VFR and replaced it with regular non-linked brakes. He ain't your run-of-the-mill average joe who just has a copy of a service manual and some cheap tools hanging around the garage. If he offers comments on the mechanics of the VFR listen to him. He knows his VFRs!

There are probably some other key people that I haven't mentioned but this is a really cool forum because not only is it full of great advice and tips we all have a good sense of humor and keep it light.

Welcome to the "Trap". I am new here too. This is one of two forums I belong to and I rarely go to the other. But I guarantee, we have already got our Hooks into you. This place is like Max Security Prison. Once you're here, you're here for life.

PS. Don't take me too seriously.

    Randy:wacko:  :loco:

Go to the "What does your handle mean?" threat and let us know where yours came from.

Everyone seems real inviting here. Thanks all. Sorry about all the caps before, I was just excited that there are other people out there who's favorite bike is the VFR. Yeah I'll look around and explore some. I need to learn where to talk about what topics. I've never used a forum before so this is all completely new to me.
