since they are still new, the main thing to watch out for is that they haven't been crashed. ask the sellers why they are selling, and look for scratches and bent parts. let us know how it turns out!

On KBB.com the bike books for mid 5k trade and 7k-8k retail depending on ABS. It doesn't sound like a steal, but it is probably pretty fair deal. That's a tough call. Are there any mods made that you would do that means you don't have to pay for? I add that also to the bikes value to me. I think you will not be disappointed in the bike, at least that seems to be the general feeling around here. Of course, we are all on a fan site, and we are biased (but only because we know it's awesome...) You just have to decide how much you want to spend, I think. I don't know about TX but here in CA, it costs more to register if the vehicle costs more, too so there is that to consider.

Thats what I was thinking, 7500.00 was at the high end. Plus it needed tires, thats another $250 or so installed.
So I am driving over to Houston this AM, one of the dealers has a 1K off Interceptors, might be bring one home tonight!!!

Cool, let us know... don't forget the pictures... given any thought to what brain bucket to use? I ended up with a KBC after lots of research. Bang for the buck I liked it the most, but it is loud...

    New VFR

    Michael,

The dealer had 1k off MSRP, after TTL out the door with their set-up fees etc... 10,680 Not a great deal, but I am happy. They offered me 10% off any acccessories, so I ordered the hard bags also.

Just curious - how much did you pay for the hard luggage? I'm actually in the market for either a slightly used 02-05, or an 06 if I find the right deal. I'm planning to sell my 94 VFR and my 02 954RR. I just can't resist the new VTEC!

    Nice finish

Does your bike have that gorgeous metalic finish? I saw one here last week and it really looks gorgeous! Up here in Canada the MSRP is 13,599.00.

I just thought I'd mention that I think one of the best investments I've made with my VFR is the double bubble windshield...it really does take the blast off the upper body and shoulders. My 02 VFR is black as well and the dark tinted windscreen really looks like part of the bike. Send us more pics!

Tell me about the Buell. I thought about getting one, but I heard the were kind of cramped if you're over 6' tall. They sure do look cool though. Do they sound nice?

Interesting...I just noticed in looking at this photo that your front tire is a Bridgestone identical to mine which was stock in 02. The 06 here in Canada comes with Metzelers.

    Tires/buell

    Preregrin,
The Buell is great fun, I have over 15k with no problems. I am 5-10 and fill comfortable on it, longest ride was around 300 miles. Buell makes a long version 2inch longer wheellbase in the lighting model. Next year I hope to buy the Ulysses Model (kinda dual sport)!!

On the tires, the 04 model I rode had Metzlers on it and the 06 came with the Bridgestone Battletrax.. sp?? I think Bridgestone is Japanese so I guess they went with them???
