Went with a little different look on my '03 Had the rear wheel powder coated yesturday.

Why just the rear wheel you ask ? Well,...... its different, and i'm kinda keeping with the black color scheme that the front has going on.... I imagine the black front wheel as being the start of the black Honda wing.

....besides, i can always have the front done later..

    My first impression...
Reminds me when I see a car with nice wheels but they had a flat and
they are now riding with the spare.

After closer examination and after reading your reasoning... I like!

Looks really good. I was thinking about getting my rear powerder coated black. How much was it to get done?

That is one of the most tasteful schemes I have seen.

not only that but you don't have to pull the bearings, races and seals out if you just do the rear....... The rim looks looks good, when you finish the project post up some shots.........i.e. when you decide to do the front, lol

It certainly is unique. However, something's not quite sitting right with me. I think it would look even better if the front wheel had red strips like those Yamaha wheels I see.

Very nice! A cool way to stand out from the crowd. I saw a set of white rims for my 1st gen in a bike wrecking yard, got me thinking..... They really look good on a rwb paint scheme. I imagine they would be a bitch to keep clean though.....

    Small change, big difference.

Just finished major rehab on my 98 5th, went to white powder. New to this may have screwed up attachment, know how you all yell for pics!

Had owned a 90 and still think visually overall the most refined and elegant VFR-lines are beautiful-grace and flow. So I went white again, yes tough to keep clean. There are products out there to help, I keep a small wheel cleaner bottle in my tank bag so if I stop at car wash. Plus some protective products to put on.

I still remember in FL on long trip, far from home, sitting on the 90 at light, Lady in station wagon with kids, drops her window and says" that's a real beautiful motorcycle" and away she went.

Thought about red myself this time, too
