One down and two up on the sprockets is your best bet, if you don't do so much highway riding. O2 eliminators and a power commander will help some...

+1 abs is a great option, but never rely on it. i personally would forgo the 11 or 14 lbs. what ever it is.
if you dont already have the kn i would look into getting a bmc instead. the bmc has almost twice the filter area as the kn filter.
