I've got an 86 VFR and the front brake lever has always been soft/loose (as in I can pull it almost to the bar before it tightens up the brakes....
So I finally got my '86 VFR700 restored and running (see details here) but I am in need of some brakes. They work but the pedal is very mushy...
Anyone know where I can get just the seal for the float bowl for an 86 or what is a good gasketmaker that works even though it is in constant...

Is the wear here bad enough that I should look for a replacement or can I clean it up with some fine steel wool? More pics here.
