Here's my dilemma I can buy a new '07 RWB or '08 Silver for $9100 from my local dealer. Or, I can buy a couple different '06's with 4000-5000 miles for $6800-$7400, of course these have some accessories but also some where & tear.

It's not always about the money but more about the value...so what do ya think?

4-5 k is practically new. All years should be the same bike, so I'd save the bucks and go for the 06. Preferably the black, which happens to be what I have.

Since these bikes, aside from color, are essentially identical I would buy a used one if you are 100% confident if its condition. If you have any concerns and can justify spending the extra money, I would jump on the RWB. I believe they are the best looking of the 6th gens, and may have slightly better resale down the road due to their Anniversary status and colors.

The '08 is quite a bit heavier than the '07 for some reason. I think the '07 is about 473 and the '08 is about 540. Not sure where the extra weight comes from but I was looking at the new ones online and saw how heavy they are.

Black has never been my first choice but I may lean that way. I love the RWB but I'm struggling with what value it really adds.

F.Y.I, the '07 weight is listed at dry. The '08 for some reason is listed with all fluids incl. a full tank of gas. Both bike weigh the have the exact same curb weight.

If you're looking to keep the bike for the long run, then I'd go new. It isn't that big of a price difference and you'll have peace of mind. The RWB will turn the most heads.

Buy the one you like. The difference isn't that big. You will never regret getting what you really want.
