    Hello,
My 06 vfr has 31000 miles on it and a new battery.
After a 1000 mile ride at speed the bike does not charge.
The stator puts our 60 volts ac at 5000 rpm. 20 volts output from the rr at the 6 pin connector.
Only battery voltage across the battery. I have continuity from the 6 pin connector to the positive battery post.
    I have continuity to ground.
I have a new rr and it does everything the same as the old one.
Stator ohms out and like i said has 60 volts ac at the 3 pin on all three legs.
    what gives?

Welcome aboard Mike, sorry your intro post is about an electrical issue. If you don't have a copy of the Honda Service Manual send me a PM and I'll send you a link to download it, it will be invaluable for any work you may be performing on your bike.

Your best is to make sure whatever battery you have now is fully charged and has been load tested to ensure it is a good working battery, then head over to this thread (see link below) and read up on "the drill". The VFR is known to have stator and R/R issues but mostly because of wiring issues. I would take the body panels off and give your wiring harness a good look over. Check for over heated wires and/or melted connectors and then do "the drill".

Carefully inspect the STARTER RELAY connections after pulling off the plug.
