Planning to get an 06 VFR and was looking ahead about some mods. I am 6'2" and what is the best windscreen to get for the my height or do I even need to change it? Is there anything else I should consider?

Depends if you are looking for comfort or are you looking for better looks? I have a Puig Touring on my 05 VFR and I'm right around 6 foot. I don't get buffeted at normal speeds at all with that screen but the wind does hit the helmet a bit at any speed over 45. It works much better than the stock sheild at protecting the rider because it sits higher.

I would do some searches on the site to find other threads on different windscreens. There are a lot of suggestions and everyone prefers something a little different when it comes to the windscreens. Many threads talk about the pros and cons of certain screens. Some research may help with your decision.

I'm also 6'2 and have an '06. I do get some wind at highway speeds. It's enough to bother me because of the wind noise and the thrashing of the helmet. The wind from the screen hits my helmet at the chin in an upright riding possition. The next two mods on my list are a double bubble wind screen and a volt meter. The double bubble should raise this a few inches, hopefully to a point that is more comfortable.

I can't say if the double bubble helps much yet, but I like the looks of it over the touring screen.

Aside from the wind issue, the bike is very comfortable to ride at 6'2. Much better than my old Katana.

For reference, I'm 5'8", 32" inseam. I have tried an MRA VarioTouringScreen and a Puig touring. The Puig I did not care for; wind hits at chin level and pretty turbulent. The MRA flow is less turbulent, but even at the highest spoiler setting, the wind blast hits me right at eye level. My primary quest is to keep bugs off my faceshield, so I'll probably just modify the MRA.

There are several threads under Gear and Accesories that have a lot of info. If you go to that forum, use the search feature and look for "windscreen", "Puig", "Givi", "Zero Gravity", etc.
