Shop owners personal 1986 Honda 500 Interceptor. Nice running vintage sport bike that would make a great daily driver or collector piece. Runs great, on new tires and is by far the most collectable years or the VF500's. It has 32k for miles which means it is definitely NOT one of the one's that has/had the soft cams. This bike purrs like new, no leaks and does not smoke. Drives and shifts perfectly.

IMHO.......to get one in this condition you are looking at $3k and up anyway, so maybe make an offer between that and the asking price and you're probably gold.

Noticed this one has a black seat and red rear handle - the opposite of mine. I don't dislike it though.....

This one is too far away from you - transport would be a deal breaker, I'd think.

However - I bet there are many just like it in California and it's just a matter of time before one comes on the market out there. Just have to bide your time and be ready to pounce when the time comes.

In the meantime - you have some super cool machines to enjoy!

 

The one I bought last year. IIRC, it was listed for $3,800-3,900....something like that.

Once I got over there (about an hour drive to the seller's place) and had a conversation with the seller, he just basically said "I'll take $3,300 cash for it."

What's funny is when I showed him how I had to put my bikes in the trailer diagonally to get the gate closed...he casually looked at it and said "Just extend the front over the tongue a bit."

Brilliant and so obvious except for someone who was "too close" to see it. Super nice guy. He had a friend rebuild the carbs for it and said he took them back 3 times before he was satisfied they were done right.

Super fun model to ride, as you know....super fun........

 

Just visited the seller's business/shop's website, and they have a Blue Heeler named Kiki!
