1986 Honda VF1000R I received this from a riding friend that I've known for years, who wasn't able to ride this anymore. He bought this new in 1987. Unfortunately, it did sit for a few years, yet I knew the history, so it wasn't so bad. That was a couple of years ago.. Today, I have it pretty much ready to hit the road., New Lithium battery, New engine oil using Amsoil with Wix filter. Carbs gone through and jetted, air filter replaced with OEM, though I have the K-N version I took out, brakes bled, new fuel filter, New Bridgestone tires, comes with Honda service manual and a rear stand. If you know these bikes, then you know they are somewhat rare. This one is pretty straight, with only 61k on the clock, though it has a few minor blemishes on the lower fairing. The stock suspension isn't too bad either, surprisingly, when considering its age, though I'm pretty sure newer would make it ride better, yet, on the costs and whatnot, being personal, I leave it at this here. I also have it priced on the bottom averages of what these go for when considering what one gets for the money, this one is pretty nice. I'm located in Washington State. $7000.00
I can vouch for the seller. Very easy to deal with, no BS. I have not personally seen this bike, but provided some advice and resources to help get it back to a proper state. His description absolutely jives with what I know and I think it is priced appropriately.
