1997 Tachometer starts at 4000rpm !

    Hello,

    Turning the ignition on, the tacho reads 4000 rpm and is then un responsive when the engine starts.
    I've checked the feed to the tacho, battery voltage, good continuity between the ICM and dash.

    Just wondering if anyone else has encountered this, and, more importantly , the solution.
