Advice needed for bike restoration. Just started to clean up frame on 1997 VFR750. The main beams below tank have marks which need to be removed. Sanded down a small section, but it was noticable that the section cleaned was very different to the surrounding original finish. Trying to determine if original aluminium laquered, painted or just highly polished. It may just be the finish that was left after manufacturing as the other sections of frame are castings. Any help would be much appreciatted. Thanks.
