I boaught a RR from Wire My Bike . Its working all good now . Ive been enjoying this bike so much ....... Its got such a different vibe . Im in love with it . I usauly listen to music when rideing . I havnt ever with this bike yet . But then again , I havent gona far . The sound is so beautiful . I had a Kawasaki 2003 750 . Just wasnt comfortable on it . I know its a race bike . I felt scared of the power & my seating postion . I found this beautifull VFR . This guy was looking to trade for what I had . It was meant to be . Even though I think he knew it needed an RR . He told me that would be the first thing he'd change on it . The VFR needed tires , he paid for them ( $200 he gave me) . My Kawasaki was $600 over his Blue Book . Id say he got over on me . Carma will take care of that . But Im not that mad . I love this bike so much . I feel like I got over on him lol . This bike will be with me for a very long time . If not this one ? It will be another one .....

Welcome, where are you located? The '98-'99 VFR's are some of the best bikes ever made in my opinion, even with the minor electrical problems. Good riding!

I went thru the same thing a year ago, and only thing I can HIGHLY recommend (even after R/R, battery replacement, and VFRNess upgrade) is to thoroughly inspect (I did) the three stator wires going from the stator to the R/R connector. Those wires/connector get brittle from the excessive heat from Honda using inadequate gauge wiring, and if you are unlucky enough, you can roast some s'mores. :vfrshorty: My advice, go back to wiremybike.com, and order a new connection for the stator. It would be good insurance.
