Installing a Staintune catless header and two brothers VALE exhaust. I have the stock heavy cans off, and the stock front and rear header nuts off ... having trouble removing the stock header.
Do I need to take off the center stand? To get to a bolt, nut or some other PITA connector I cant see with the center stand on ... or am I missing something else?

    hello¡
I don`t think you need to take off the center stand, I`ve seen pictures of VFRs with headers and they have installed thieir center stand, Maybe you should have to take the bike to a mechanic or a Honda dealer to make the job:::

Trying to figure it out on my own ... funds are low since I bought the header, PCIII and VALE exhaust.

There is a bolt by the cat that is holding the stock headers on. I did a write up on installing Delkevic headers that you might find helpful LINK.

    BTW Staintune headers??

Happy everything worked out for you. I know you are digging that sound, I've got basically the same set up.

I've looked pretty hard at header options and never heard of Staintune headers nor did a web search turn up anything. I think MD and Deepdish are thinking along the same lines. What size are the tubes? Are they stainless steel? I understand you bought bought them off this sight, from an individual or sponsor? Do they have a tab for the center stand to rest against? Did they come in a Staintune box? Sorry for all the questions but I'm always curious about new products.

Dossn't look like the Staintune makes them anymore ...
    Honda Exhausts by Staintune

They are a cermic coated ... not stainless. I couldn't find a manufacturer name on the pipe to confirm .... but it looks good and fits great.

I bought them from a VFRWorld guy who bought them off a salvaged 03 VFR.

Images are of a 95% complete install on my bike ... I can take more/higher res.

No tab for the center stand but there is allot of clearance.

I am beleiveing there are Staintune because everything else I bought from him (individual) is great and a was talking with a VFRer at a Keith Code school about them a month ago who had them installed.

I looked closely at your headers. I'm pretty sure they're early version Delkevics. I recognize the rear header seal ring. I have a set for my '01.
