I turned a 2000 VFR 800 into a Reverse Trike. I was making a thread instead of an ad cause I was gonna update as I manage my inventory.

UPDATE: If forum rules allow, everything is OBO. I will research prices and see what a good price would be for both of us. Im not looking to flip these parts for tons of cash, just looking for some funds to get this next project rolling.

    See posts for satisfied customers.

Tags in photobucket are actually the description.
    PICS HERE

Man, I havent really thought about prices. I dont have a front end stand, so I cant sell the the forks and tire until I get it bolted to the frame.

If you are interested in an item, let me know and I'll take up close pics of that thing. If I dont get much interest here, I'll put everything in the Classifieds or Craigslist when I get farther into the project. This is going to be a winter project for sure.

The reverse trike pics look awsome. I look forward to seeing this come together. After you part out the bike a while I think you need to change the thread header to reflect your new project. I would hate for others to miss out because they thought this was a "parting out" thread only. Just my 2cents. (probably worth less than that though).

Thats why I made the Facebook thread, so that people that werent a part of the VFR forums could still follow my build. I'll make one here later on when I get the frame built.

Would you be getting rid of the cowl bolts or are you going to be needing them for use with your project?

Do you mean the two bolts that hold the rear seat cover on? If you are talking about those, then ones I have are just regular Philips heads with spacers, which Im guessing is not stock.

Im relocating all the electronics, and making my own fiberglass body, so there wont be a need for anything over the rear tire, except for the frame and body and such. Trying to keep a little front heavy weight distribution to help with handling and understeer more than oversteer. If I want oversteer, just hitting the throttle in a corner should slide the back end out and thens I got plenty of oversteer :)

I've read quite a bit on Reverse Trikes, and Im mainly following other engineers work while adding in my own taste

Those are the bolts that I am talking about. I had to take them out to get to the r/r because I need to replace it and the bolts for the r/r along with those from the cowl were misplace by someone who didnt think they were anything important. So now I am in a bit of a bind looking for them and not wanting to pay a ton to order them from the part magazines.

I have one stock one, so I can match thread and length, and mill a spacer if you want. I'll send you a picture of what I got when I get a chance. PM me your email.

EDIT: The cheapest I could find them new is at powersportspro.com for 12 bucks a piece, but that kinda is "pay a ton" cause 24 bucks for 2 bolts is alot. I dont have the 8mm washers, but those should be easy enough to find at a hardware store. I wont need the ones I have, so shoot me an email and I'll get you a pic. You pay for shipping and they are yours.

First post updated. Pics now available.

Woah, unless the ebay machine is playing with me, it looks like the front forks (in good condition) are worth like 400? and like 300 for the front trim? This bike must be rarer than I thought. Does that sound right?

I even got a single sided swing arm for sale in the classifieds, but if no one wants it, I'll just make one of my other bikes single sided :D

Also got the side fairings, but they are rough. Definately fixable, but rough. I was gonna melt down ABS plastic shavings in Acetone and make them like new, but now its not gonna be a VFR anymore, so no point. Pics added in first post album.

Is the bike red? If so, i would be interested in the front fender if its in good condition.

Im trying to keep as much together as I can. I got a guy wanting the whole front of it, but if he backs out, then I'll part it out.
