I picked this bike up to repair and sell, it had some problems with the charging system and some breakage do to tip over but all has been repaired (body work has scratch's)and am putting miles on it now to be sure all is in working order before I sell it but thought I would ask all of you what a fair price is. 132k can not be sugar coated but the tires and chain are good, it has ABS, a tune up, oil change, and runs like a top. Tell me what you think please. Will post it for sale when the title comes back from DMV and do not want to give it away but would like to ask a fair price.

Hmmm... been wanting to add a 6th gen to the stable. Heh... just mapped it - that's one helluva ride from Sacramento to Houston! Wonder what shipping would be like...

    quick sell at reg's figures.

what about plucking one of those 6gen motors that grow on trees? Maybe one with 12,000 miles for $500ish and sell for $4500(ish)? Dunno, just trying to be creative.

Sweet... anyone have a rough idea how much it would cost to ship to Houston? I can call some places on Tuesday. Curious if it would still be a bargain, or if I'd be better off looking for a local bike.

Wow, that's a tough one to put a price on. I've been seeing the same 02 VFR here in Hampton Roads, VA with around 30K just sitting for about a month now. He's only asking $2900. Good luck either way.

The are shipping places online my guess is $450.

I would think 2700-2900 would be in order. What about forks and rear shock? Is the shock original. May be worth $65 for a low mileage used.

    Still think 2700-2900

I would say about 2000-2900 it kinda a ball park though, but you could get an easy 2000 just by parting it out. I'll give you some rough figures from ebay, I have been searching a lot for used parts lately.

    Left Headlight $150
    Right Headlight $150
    Cowl Stay $100
    Ecu $150
    Turn Signals $50
    Left Fairing $100
    Right Fairing $100
    Upper Fairing $150
    Tail Fairing $50
    R Handle Bar $50
    L Handle Bar $50
    Tank $200
    Speedo $200
    Forks $300
    Exhaust $100
    Foot Rests $100

Well the lists go on but you get my point, I wouldn't settle for less than 2000. These prices are relatively low to sell quick, I realize that it would take a lot of time to sell it by pieces, and that you probably don't want to part it out. This was to give you a rough idea on how much the bike is worth. Plus the buyer could always get a new engine. I find them on ebay quite a bit for 500-800 dollars with not a whole lot of miles. If I didnt live all the way on the east coast I would love to have a stab at it, but I think the shipping would be a bit more than its worth.

I passed on more than a few different 02-04 bikes last year before getting my 07. A couple of the ones I was looking at were in the $3200-$3500 area, with 7-19 k on the clock. All ran perfect, but had various issued ranging from tip-over cracks to needing new tires/brakes/battery etc...

I'm thinkin prices go higher out there, BUT: with it being the new-model-year, that mileage, and a few scars, I think $2k is about right. With folks about to have tax $, you might get $2500 fairly quickly
