Hi Martin and welcome to the MadHouse:Welcome:

When you get a chance, please swing by the introductions section and say Hi to the rest of the folks on here, tell us a bit about you and your VFR and maybe add a photo or two (click "upload a file" and follow the prompts).

I am pretty sure someone has already done this, indeed if you throw enough money at things, then pretty much anything is possible.

But it probably entails some complexity and courage as you will need custom fabrication in terms of mountings and wiring changes (assuming you also plan on using the integral indicators). Obviously if you don't plan on using the indicators and you still need to replace your current 6th gen mirrors, then you will find Emgo models are a cheap and easy bolt on alternative to Honda OEM mirrors, which look virtually the same.

If you look at side by side photos of 6th and 8th Gen VFRs it appears the stalk mounting bracket angle on the 8th Gen is different from a 6th Gen. The 8th Gen mirror is probably a lot more expensive and heavier than 6th Gens, so you may find you will need to reinforce the mounting to avoid the thing shaking badly at speed and making any rear view problematic.
